Senior Accountant — own your client portfolio
Work directly with European businesses and develop your experience in Belgian and European accounting — from our office in the centre of Sofia.
€ 2,200–3,000 gross per month
The work is planned so deadlines are met within normal working hours. No tests, no long interview rounds.
What you will do
Your own portfolio, end to end
You carry complete client files for a fixed portfolio of European companies — with the responsibility that comes with that, and the colleagues to back you up.
- →Process purchases, sales and bank for a fixed portfolio of clients
- →Reconcile accounts and prepare the figures behind the periodic VAT returns
- →Prepare month, quarter and year-end closings
- →Raise questions before a period closes, not after
- →Work directly with the Belgian companies you look after
You work on complete client files and accounting decisions, while our document recognition handles repetitive data entry.

Established procedures and a steady reporting rhythm — you know what is expected of you, and by when.
Fully digital, in Odoo
One system for documents, ledger and reporting. No parallel spreadsheets, no version chaos.
Planned within normal hours
Overtime is not required of you. The work is planned so that deadlines are met within normal working hours.
The team
A small team in Sofia, with Natali and a fellow senior accountant
You work alongside our other senior accountant in a small team in Sofia. The working language is English — we work with the Belgian companies every day. Among colleagues in the office, Bulgarian is spoken.
Our office is in the centre of Sofia, on Shipka Street. Alternation has operated from Sofia since 2019 — a stable, permanent team with a professional network.

What we are looking for
- →Solid experience as an accountant — you can carry a file on your own
- →Working English, written and spoken — it is the language we work in daily
- →Accuracy, and the confidence to flag what does not add up
- →Knowledge of Belgian or European accounting is not required — we train it
